It has been dry often enough for us to make some progress in the garden. We have room for a few more things, but at the moment all the seeds we had planned for are in the ground.

We have been coppicing the willows and using the branches and limbs to build trellises. If there is left-over, I want to make some little withy fences in other parts of the yard. Something to define flower beds from lawn, and tree space from walking paths.

The trellises right now are not elegant, but they are my first try. I expect my technique will be improving as I go along.

Here are a few pics of the veggie garden, followed by a few things that are blooming in the garden today.

I should offer a small note, I usually write the posts on my computer, and then add the pics in from the ipad later. The first two pics are from the ipad camera, the rest from a real (though still digital) camera.

The next pictures are from earlier in the day, with the real camera. I was tired this evening, so some pictures may be on their sides, and there will likely be some redundancies. I will fix those when I have the energy. There is a picture of the lovely oxalis, which has bright coral blossoms (but it was early in the day so they weren’t all awake yet), digitalis, pink-flowering jasmine, rose campion, apples, and at the very end, to change up my color themes, pot of gold.
