I did not get a single picture of Grant when we were at IKEA today looking at the components and ordering the parts for his wardrobe: not quite “built in” but very very nice, and easily reconfigured and (hopefully) moved to a new place when he is ready. We had a wonderful day, despite my headcold.

But yesterday… This is what greeted me when I drove up to the house. Well, not actually, but… this is what it looked like after I pulled in!

The gravel goes from the road to the side of the house, not past the parking pad yet, but that's okay. Howard also graded the back, bringing the dirt that was excavated for the foundation up to the cement patio. Not too exciting yet, but nice to know that we actually had the soil without having to get extra fill.

Next steps: move the medlar, shift the fig, sow groundcover in back and FINISH the house… we have appliances at the house now, stone installers will come Monday to make templates, and at some point I will be able to tile my shower stall… Or so the theory goes.
