The little wall that Tom and Grant (mostly Tom) put together separates the paved/concrete parking space in front of the garage from the graveled space that can be used for parking but needs a bit of separation. So it’s a spot to put a few planters, sit on and just help define “public” from “private” uses.

I think it’s lovely…

Looking toward the house. We'll make this a little patio space/corner similar to the patio Grant built to add a little extra seating for long summer nights. It's a lovely, cool spot in the evenings!

Of course, we still need to move piles of weeded-out materials, garden tools and the few items that have been left outside because we don’t know where exactly to put them inside… But those are little things. We are getting the infrastructure down now, and it feels so good!

Thank you, Tom and Grant for all your help!

And a small bonus picture of the chestnut seedling in the (now wide-open) cold frame:

The seedling now has several pairs of leaves and is almost as tall as its pot. Time to repot into a 5-gallon container! The lettuces on the right are the only significant green in this now twice-planted space. I think we're due for a reboot...
