Already we can feel things changing.
The petals (or are they the sepals?) on the witch hazel are longer and brighter than they were when they first appeared a few weeks ago. The birds are singing different songs — already establishing pecking order and territory? And plants are budding out everywhere.

And one more sign, the real clincher:Â a pair of robins are happily scouting the yard, lifting leaves for bugs and singing!
But remember, it’s still two months to the equinox…
The theme on this website today was created in 2019. I like the “continuous scrolling” in front of a stationary view of the back patio . . .
Yesterday was the solstice, today is the first day of (astronomical) winter. The passage of time is marked by events that spin past. What will . . .
I just spent a couple hours updating the “Garden View” page. Which hadn’t been touched since about 2018 (oops!). Jump to that page: Here
I have been teaching all my life. I have been learning longer. I started teaching because I find learning joyful, and I love to share . . .
