Not completely done when we stopped by at around 6:15, but almost there. I am hopeful we’ll have mudders in there this week and then paint the week after.
Here are a couple pics.
The drywallers were still there, the fuzzy-ness on the picture is how the camera lens captured the fine particles that were throughout the house. We didn’t stay too long, but I can tell it will be a few days before the dust (literally) settles.not too exciting, but this is the window in my officethe view through the dressing area (washer and dryer will be on the left) to the bathroom door opening — it’s a pocket door so we don’t have to worry about “swing” when planning floor spacealso not actually exciting, but the little window that is over our bed area. the switch on the right will control the light and the fan for the washer and dryerGetting more interesting, the skylight wells are actually defined — only the sides and top still to do.The kitchen. window on the right, a hint of the cut-out where the wall is open to the living room… the little half wall is for the island. The opening between the living room and the kitchen, highlighted by the workmen’s lantern. It will feel so airy and bright!
Also, the soapstone we ordered (based on a picture) is in, and it’s GORGEOUS. But I forgot to take a picture when we were there today.
Next step: pick and order the tile for my shower. Tomorrow should be soon enough…

What a difference the wallboard makes! Real rooms, with ceilings!! Who would have thought?
Really happy for you all with a new home coming to fruition.
